Protocol: Rules of Engagement
This workshop is an active calibration zone for the raw drafts of Axis of the Parallax. Because the manuscript handles clinical themes of hyper-vigilance and memory distortion, the comment section requires strict operational boundaries.
To ensure your feedback helps refine the narrative rather than cluttering the archive, please adhere to the following evaluation protocols when interacting with the text.
1. Data Collected (What Helps)
When analyzing a chapter or fragment, your attention is best directed toward these specific structural metrics:
Atmospheric Density: Does the rain-slicked, isolated setting feel palpable, or does the tension drop?
Pacing & Calibration: Does the narrative mimic the exhausting, hyper-alert state of the protagonist effectively, or do certain scenes drag?
Emotional Truth: Do the mechanics of trauma and fractured recollection resonate as authentic, or do they feel manufactured?
2. Data Filtered (What to Ignore)
Because these files are uncurated drafts subject to severe structural overhauls, do not expend energy on the following items:
Surface-Level Mechanics: Minor typos, punctuation errors, or grammatical missteps. Entire paragraphs or chapters may be deleted or completely re-engineered in the next phase, making sentence-level copyediting premature.
Predictive Plotting: Speculation on traditional tropes. Focus on the psychological weight of the current fragment rather than trying to solve the narrative ahead of time.
3. Conduct & Boundaries
Clinical Objectivity: Critique the engineering and execution of the text, not the sensitive nature of the subject matter itself.
Zero Tolerance: Any comments containing bad-faith arguments, personal attacks, or spam will be permanently purged from the log without warning or explanation.
